“The High Supervisory Committee on Implementation of the JCPOA should convene as soon as possible to set the decision about the issues related to the JCPOA and US breaching of the agreement,” reiterated MP Zonnouri, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission.
He reassured that the three areas of new anti-Iranian sanctions of the US, on individuals, legal persons, and airplane sales are with no doubt blatant violations of the letter of the JCPOA.
“While selling airplanes to Iran was prohibited in the past except for small second-hand airplanes, now there is no legal restrictions for Iran purchasing passenger planes as the JCPOA has annulled all bans on selling planes to Iran,” underlined the Iranian legislator. “Nobody should doubt that this is a blatant violation of the JCPOA when the US, quite contrary to the agreement, passes sanctions on selling planes to Iran.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has paid the price for the JCPOA and know naturally should benefit from it while the US act is preventing Iran from enjoying the advantages of the JCPOA,” stressed the Iranian law-maker, “we should insist on our rights to fully receive the benefits of the JCPOA.”
“We would not repeal the JCPOA but the costs we have paid necessitate that we should enjoy from its benefits,” reaffirmed the Iranian official.
He urged the Iranian president and foreign minister to press 5+1 countries for forcing US government comply with the JCPOA.
“Mr. President should take advantage of the atmosphere provided during the UN General Assembly to boast the compliance of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the JCPOA to inform the public opinion of the world how Americans have been irresponsible in regard to this agreement,” affirmed the Iranian legislator.
Meanwhile, Seyyed Mousavi Largani, the Iranian MP from the constituency of Falavarjan who is also the Vice-chairman of Parliament’s Economy Commission, called for returning to 20% enrichment of Uranium. “Now is the time to give the US a crushing response,” he underlined. “Mr. President is responsible to recount the anti-JCPOA measures of US at UNGA eloquently,” demanded the legislator.
He stated that US measures in breaking the articles of the agreement should be immediately responded not to let the Americans get more audacious.
“Since those early days of the talks, the supreme Leader warned the Iranian negotiators that the other side is irresponsible and untrustworthy with a dark record of dishonesty and unfaithfulness,” he regretted, “the Leader urged them to be vigilant but they did not pay heed to the advice.”
